Beijing Normal University Kindergarten (BNUK), founded in 1915, is affiliated with Beijing Normal University. There are now over 830 staff members and 4000 children from two to six years of age in the kindergarten. BNUK Management Group implements unified management of its 8 branches and 3 centers (Research Centre, Training Centre and Early Childhood Education Centre).

Over the past century, BNUK has been implementing the educational concept of “Children-oriented”, which is interpreted as respecting children, researching children, promoting the independent development of children and striving to cultivate children who are optimistic, caring, courteous, wise and aesthetic.

BNUK has always advocated academic research, insisted on taking teaching and scientific research as the guide, and made efforts to improve the quality of teachers and education work.

BNUK has become a practice base for advanced educational concepts since the 1950s. In recent years, the kindergarten has actively undertook many supporting education programs in Beijing, Sichuan, Gansu, Shanxi, Xinjiang, Yunnan and other places. Meanwhile, BNUK has been working to develop preschool education with a world vision and Chinese characteristics, and has become a dissemination position for Chinese preschool education.
