Review of international exchanges

1. Opening its doors to learn from others





In 1985, Mrs. Bush, wife of U.S. vice President George Bush, visited BNUK, Students presenting a bouquet.

In 1988, friends from Taiwan visited BNUK and played chess with the children.





In 1991, BNUK received guests from North Korea.

In 1995, BNUK received representatives from the fourth World Women's Congress.





In 1997, BNUK made a treaty with Kashiwa Gakuen in Japan to become Sister Kindergartens. Exchange programs have continued between the two ever since.  

In 2002, Georges Charpak, a member of the French Academy of Science and a Nobel Prize winner, came to BNUK to exchange research in science education activities.

In 2005, Mrs. Blair, wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair, cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony for Sino-British Early Childhood Education Base.

In 2007, the Minister of Zimbabwe's MoE led a delegation to visit BNUK.





In 2010 Prof. Candace Kaye, Dean of the School of Early Childhood Education, University of New Mexico, visited BNUK. In the picture, she is working on a project for intercultural Research and Cooperation in Early Childhood Education.

Hope Kuo Staab, Director, Wo International Center of Punahou School in Hawaii, USA, comes to visit BNUK.





On December 17, 2010, President Huang Shan met Anthony, the Deputy Minister of the U.S. Ministry of Education, and his party.

On April 26, 2011, a delegation of nearly 200 teachers and parent-children from our sister school Hong Kong Victoria Education Institute, visited BNUK.





On March 16, 2012, BNUK received visits from members of the Singapore People's Party and kindergarten education peers.

On June 21, 2012, a delegation of 29 principals and teachers of our sister school Punahou School in America, visited BNUK.





On March 27, 2013, the leadership of our sister Punahou school visited BNUK.

On May 27 to 29, 2013, Principle Mierisch of our sister school Milgate Primary School in Australia, visited Experimental Elementary School and Beijing Normal University Kindergarten.





On January 8, 2014, BNUK officially signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chaminade University of Honolulu in the United States, in cooperation with the Montessori China Teacher Training Program.

On July 20, 2015, a delegation from Yale University visited BNUK.





On July7, 2015, a delegation of 23 students from our sister school Punahou School visited BNUK. More than 60 BNUK children and teachers in our kindergarten participated in the reception activities. This visit is the first student visit between the two schools.

In 2017, BNUK officially renewed the new era Memorandum with Japan Baixue Kindergarten.





In 2017, BNUK signed a memorandum with the School of Learning and Philosophy of Alborg University.

On April 28.2018, the Minister of Education, Science and Technology of Norway visited BNUK.





On September 11, 2018, the Sino Danish Preschool Education Theme Workshop was held in the Wangjing Branch of BNUK.

In 2020, BNUK officially signed a Memorandum with affiliated schools of Japan's Ministry of Education of Niigata University.

2. Discussing our Methodology in International Dialogues




In 1984, Principal Zhou Nan was invited by Yale University to study there for six months. In the picture, Director Zhou is giving a lecture to U.S. students on preschool education in China.

In 2006 Principal Zhang Lan was interviewed by BBC International Television.  





In 2006, Principal Zhang Lan gave a speech at the Atlantic NAEYC.

In 2008 Principal Huang Shan spoke at the OMEP Conference in Hong Kong.





In 2014, Principal Huangshan made a speech at OMEP 2014 Conference in Irish, and our 3 papers were accepted by the OMEP conference 2014 in Irish.

In 2015, 3 teachers of BNUK made a speech at the OMEP conference 2015 in the United States.



In 2018, Principal Huangshan and vice-principal Xu Cuifeng spoke at the OMEP conference 2018 in the Czech Republic.
